Physical
Therapy Program Facilities |

University Physical Therapy is located in Suite J of the Independence Square building on the Kingston campus of the University of Rhode Island. Areas of clinical treatment include two private treatment rooms, and an expanded exercise area. Through a unique arrangement with the Joseph Donley Rehabilitation Center, the state worker's rehabilitation facility also located in the Independence Square building, the Physical Therapy Program shares additional space and equipment. Facilities for aquatic physical therapy service consist of a SwimEx swimming treadmill, and an Aqua Ark and are readily avaiable for patient service.
Other major pieces of physical therapy equipment include Kin/Com and Biodex isokinetic dynamometers, isotonic and free weights, Metracom, ERGYS, biofeedback, motion analysis, electromyographic, and many kinds of thermal and cryotherapeutic devices. Additionally, through the Donley Center, a BTE, work hardening equipment, and additional isotonic equipment is available.
